NYC paid $135M for 246 medical mistakes

New York City paid out $135 million in the past fiscal year for medical mistakes at its public hospitals. That's an increase of about 5 percent from 2010, according to a report in The New York Daily News. The payments covered 246 medical blunders, many of which were catastrophic for the patients.
