Caterpillar settles worker injury suit for $9M

A much-watched construction lawsuit case has reportedly been settled by Caterpillar Inc. According to news reports, the world's largest maker of bulldozers agreed to pay more than $9 million to settle claims by worker Alfonso Lopez that he was left a paraplegic when a defective Caterpillar earth mover suddenly began bouncing on a construction site.
