Army pays big to settle birth injury case

An Army medical center based in Hawaii has agreed to an $11 million settlement in a birth injury case involving several medical errors and serious brain injury to a newborn. The incident occurred in 2005 at Tripler Army Medical Center, the largest military hospital in the Pacific which serves tens of thousands of service members, veterans and their families.
